Inspired by our RA model, the INTI is a climbing shoe used by elite climbers on some of the most difficult and demanding routes in the world. Like other models in our ‘Balance Pro’ line, the INTI is designed to achieve outstanding performance and unrivalled versatility.

Slightly softer than its predecessor, the INTI is nevertheless excellent on small edges, while its frictional properties are even further enhanced, making this the perfect shoe for vertical and slightly overhanging routes and boulder problems. When making the first ever 9a on-sight ascent, Alex had to climb completely naturally but with millimetre precision. In order to achieve this Alex opted to wear the INTI. It met his every requirement, providing maximum contact with the rock and superb, dynamic feedback on his foot placements, move after move after move.

Advantages

Incredible precision on every kind of foothold, from micro-edges to tenuous slopers.
Superb performance yet very comfortable.
Wide opening tongue for ease and speed of putting on and removing.
Precise adjustment system. Perfectly balanced structure between softness and rigidity, meaning the foot moves only where you need it to.
Rubber reinforced toe-box for increased abrasion resistance and superior toe-hooking.
Micro-layer insole for the perfect distribution of force.

Recommended use

Vertical and moderately overhanging routes. Equally suited to bouldering.

Size guide

Climbing shoes

Tips for choosing the correct size.

  • To get the best performance from the shoe, you should wear a size that allows you to go with your toes flexed.
  • The shoe has been designed so that you can choose between two size options. one more tight and one less, in both options the performance and comfort of the shoe will be optimal. Many Tenaya climbers combine both sizes at once.
  • Choose the largest possible size that forces you to go with your toes flexed. This will be your size to go less tight. In this size, the level of adjustment and pressure on the foot will be sufficient, the performance and comfort of the shoe will be optimal.
  • Half a size below will be your correct size if you want to go tight. In this size you will feel the foot even tighter and with more pressure, the toes are also flexed and the performance and comfort of the shoe will be equally optimal.
  • If you are starting out in climbing or consider that you cannot keep your toes flexed, choose the first size that does not force you to flex your toes.
